Session WEB01 - Building HTML5 Apps with Native Capabilities

Attendees joined this interactive session to learn about building BlackBerry® 10 applications using the BlackBerry® WebWorks™ development platform. Attendees learned how they can transform their HTML5 assets into fully-featured, standalone applications with native look, feel and capabilities. They discovered how the BlackBerry WebWorks SDK has evolved for BlackBerry 10 and saw an overview of available APIs, architecture and developer roadmap. The session concluded with an overview and getting started intro to developing BlackBerry applications with the PhoneGap/Cordova platform.
Session WEB02 - Advanced BlackBerry HTML5 Development: WebGL and Remote Web Inspector

Attendees joined us in this session to look for ways to take their BlackBerry HTML5 + BlackBerry WebWorks application development to the next level.
We covered how to get started with WebGL, showcasing some original demos, and shared how developers can get 3D graphical content running in their BlackBerry Web applications.
Finally, we didn't want anyone to leave the Jam session without seeing some live demos of remote web inspector, the powerful debugging tool helpful to BlackBerry developers for troubleshooting and profiling HTML5 + BlackBerry WebWorks content.
Session WEB03 - How to get that Native Look and Feel using bbUI & Alice.js

Attendees came to this session to learn how they can easily achieve a native BlackBerry look and feel in their HTML5 application using BlackBerry bbUI.js and Alice.js. They found out how these toolkits can be used to produce amazing user experiences with very little effort. We covered what bbUI.js is, how it works, as well as provided an overview and working demo of Alice.js - a lightweight, independent CSS engine.
Session WEB04 - Making the Most of Existing Public Web Development Frameworks

This session was an overview and analysis of popular public Web development frameworks such as jQuery Mobile, Sencha Touch, Zepto and Dojo. Attendees gained insight into which one is right for their own development needs. Guidance was shared on how to fully take advantage of the capabilities for these frameworks and optimize for BlackBerry.
This session focused on jQuery Mobile, which is an HTML5-based user interface system for all popular mobile device platforms, built on the rock-solid jQuery and jQuery UI foundation. In this session, we provided an overview of the framework, a quick introduction to using jQuery Mobile, and a look at the current roadmap.
We also covered the benefits and features of popular specialized frameworks such as Modernizr, Three.JS and createJS.
